Frequently Asked Questions
When is the annual spring clean-up?
We have tentatively scheduled the clean-up for Saturday, April 11th, 2026.
Who can participate?
Any Northeastern student can sign-up to join us. We are intentional to invite students that have previously participated in our Breakfast Club program first, and then we open it up to the community.
What locations are available?
Each year, our community partners submit requests to participate. We try our best to accommodate all requests with the focus being on locations that are near campus or within off-campus student neighborhoods including Fort Hill, Mission Hill, Roxbury, Fenway, South End, and Back Bay.
Students signing up can indicate their location preference.
How can I sign-up?
You can sign-up starting on in March of 2026! We will share the sign-up form on our social media, newsletter, and on this page.
What type of projects are included during the spring clean-up?
Projects including raking, mulching, planting, trash collection, compost turning, garden maintenance, weed pulling, and painting.
What attire do I need to participate?
You must wear sturdy, closed toe shoes and clothing that you don’t mind getting dirty. All projects will require working with garden tools and in the dirt. Gloves and tools are provided to all volunteers.
What is the deadline to sign-up?
You will be expected to sign up in early April 2026. We will share the deadline once sign-ups are live.
Can I sign-up with a group?
Yes, and each participating member of your group must complete the form to save their spot. If you are with a group, please indicate so in the sign-up form.
